About Em:
An artist from the Pacific Northwest, Em carries a vast interest and passion for all of the fine arts, with an emphasis on contemporary art, musical theatre, and floral design! She is 30 years old and lives in Lake Oswego, Oregon with her wonderful husband, Khoti, daughter, Chloe Penelope, and golden retriever, Huckleberry.
Em started her floral journey at Sammy’s Flowers in Portland, Oregon as an apprentice in a seasonal position. She then found a second home in the the floral department at Zupan’s Markets in Lake Oswego, Oregon, where she has honed her floral skills for five and half years under fabulous mentorship, working as a lead designer, former lead floral processor, & upcoming floral class instructor. She has also spent time designing for Bend, Oregon’s top floral shop, Donner Flower Shop, and loves to share her craft, having done private events & large scale weddings for family and friends, outside of the workplace. Em studied floral design at The New York Institute of Art and Design and was nominated as graduate of the year.
Em has also been active in the professional theatre community in Portland, performing in musical productions such as West Side Story and Cabaret. She made her on screen debut in the award winning short film Linea, directed by filmmaker Will Cuddy, which she received Best Actress in the Portland Comedy Film Festival. She devotes her free time to creating mixed media art, such as collages, heavily influenced by the Pop Art of Andy Warhol. She is also an avid collector of all things vintage, from classic rock band tees, vinyl and Coca-Cola Trays, to board games, books and Barbie Dolls.
Em’s passion project is a combination of pop art, floral design, and vintage collectibles, titled Factory Fleur (You can follow the Instagram account @factoryfleur). She plans to one day open her own Factory Fleur floral shop/gallery/boutique!
Em is enthusiastically dedicated to creating beauty & art to brighten people’s life.
